The Letná plateau has watched history pass below — a giant Stalin monument stood here until 1962, replaced since 1991 by the gently ticking Metronome. Its beer garden is a Prague institution.
From the southern edge the Vltava curves through the city and every bridge lines up in the haze — the classic panorama of Prague. Plane-tree avenues glow gold in autumn.

The view does the talking: we place the moment at the balustrade above the bridges, then wander the avenues for portraits. The beer garden toast afterwards is gloriously unpretentious.
