Mělník's château belongs to the Lobkowicz family and stands where Bohemia's two great rivers, the Vltava and the Labe (Elbe), meet. Princess Ludmila planted vines here over a thousand years ago — these slopes are the birthplace of Czech wine, and they still pour it on the château terrace.
