Schloss Leopoldskron, a rococo palace built in 1736 by the prince-archbishop Firmian, sits on its own lake south of the old town. Its lakeside terrace stood in for the von Trapp villa in The Sound of Music.
The pale palace mirrored in the calm Weiher, the Hohensalzburg fortress and Untersberg mountain rising behind, swans on the water — one of the most romantic reflections in Austria.

For a serene, scenic proposal away from the crowds. We shoot from the public lakeshore path with the palace and mountains reflected; sunset light on the water is superb.
