A Little History

The story first.

The princely Rohan family, exiles of the French Revolution, rebuilt Sychrov as a romantic neo-gothic dream — salmon-pink towers, carved wood interiors by master Petr Bušek, and an English park planted with rare trees to remind them of lost France. Dvořák composed here on visits to his friend, the estate's steward.
