Burggarten Proposal in Vienna

A former imperial garden with a jewel-box glasshouse.

A Little History

The story first.

Laid out in 1819 as the private garden of the Habsburg emperors behind the Hofburg, the Burggarten opened to the public in 1919. It holds the elegant art-nouveau Palmenhaus glasshouse and Vienna's beloved Mozart monument.

Why It's Romantic

The atmosphere you're proposing into.

Lawns and old trees behind the palace, the curved glass-and-iron Palmenhaus catching the light, and the Mozart statue in its flower-planted treble-clef bed — central yet serene.
