Kroměříž Proposal

A UNESCO baroque Flower Garden with a rotunda at its geometric heart — parterres built for promising things.

A Little History

The story first.

The Archbishops of Olomouc laid out Kroměříž's Pleasure Garden in the 1660s — a perfect baroque geometry of parterres, mazes and a central rotunda that UNESCO lists as one of Europe's last intact gardens of its kind. Their château above town adds a second, wilder English park.

Why It's Romantic

The atmosphere you're proposing into.

The Flower Garden is a theorem about beauty: a 244-metre colonnade, box hedges in arabesques, fountains on the axes, the rotunda where everything converges. Formal gardens were invented for courtship — proposing at the exact centre of one feels like completing the design.

  • The château park. Lakes and willows below the palace.

Is Kroměříž right for you?

The garden proposal perfected: the question in the rotunda or the colonnade's frame, a styled Petal & Pop among the parterres, the château park for looser portraits after. Rarely more than a handful of visitors midweek. Amadeus filmed in the château's halls — add the tour if you love interiors.

Day-trip proposals run from our Prague base — travel is quoted transparently with your date (from +€180 for destinations within ~2 hours; further afield individually). One trip, one price, no surprises.
