A Little History

The story first.

The Macocha Abyss drops 138 metres into the largest cave system in the country; explorers first descended on ropes in the 1700s. Today the Punkva Caves route walks you through cathedral-sized chambers to the abyss floor — then boats carry you out along the underground river.
